Porcine PAP
With 30 years of experience with processed animal protein our main goal became our standard promise: to guarantee a fixed percentage of protein, therefore creating a consistent high quality of feed ingredient. There are no surprises.
Only 50 to 60% of porcine is used for human consumption. What remains is processed into proteins and fats. The fats are largely used for making biofuels and the proteins go to aqua feed and nearby future chicken feed. We receive various types of porcine pap from our suppliers, ranging from 40 to 80% protein. We also process pig blood (with a percentage of 90% protein) and meal made from pig hair.

Quality control
When the raw materials arrive at our processing plant, we immediately take sterile samples, in order to research salmonella, entero bacteries and DNA. After discharging the product, a second quick sample check is done by an automatic sampling device. Those samples are examined for four main parameters: protein, fat, moisture and ash. We use these parameters as the basis for our mix. The second quick sampling is done in seconds, as we have to know immediately what the ratios in the parameters are to transport it to the storage silo.
Manufacturing process
When the parameters of the product are known, we start creating the end product for the customer. Assuming this customer wants a 50% protein, our computerised laboratory examines which protein, fat, moisture and ash contents are in which silos, with protein and ash being the main parameters for the mix.
That mix is performed in a 2 ton Batch Mixer. Depending on the customer's wishes, we can add an antioxidant to that mixing process, so that the end product has a longer shelf life. A salmonella killer can also be added. The end product is in a container, usually shipped to a warm country, to protect the end product. Finally, we also have the option of grinding the product in a finer powder form.
